SCORES Added scores from three results (1 run ski, 2 rounds golf)

SKI all classes: time of the ski run (abaut 40 sec.) is multiplied by 4 (8*) and addes to the golf gross scores (36 holes)

*Master classes: time from ski competition is multiplied by 8, then multiplied by the year of birth (e.g. born 1953, time multiplied by 0.53) calculation minimum factor is 0,44 (born 1944 and before)

Result skiing in seconds multiplied by 4 (8*)        score 1

Gross score golf round 2nd day                          score 2

Gross score golf round 3rd day                          score 3

Competitor time of ski race is multiplied by factor 4 and then added to the scores of both golf rounds. If a competitor does not finish the ski run, he/she has a second chance (starts again at the end of complete starting field). If they do not finish this run either, they will get the time of 60 seconds (just to remain in the competition).

The 50 best ski results from 2010 are set as group 1. The start numbers are drawn by lot. All professionals start in group 1. The ski competition, (race 1) is started in order of group 1, main class, age class and juniors.  Race 2, a synchronous parallel course starts with the groups of participants in the women‘s and Master 1 and II classes.  The ski competition is carried out according to the guidelines of the European Cup FIS skiing association.

If scores are equal, the better score on the second golf day will be judged. If the scores are still equal the better score of golf round decides on the second day with the handicaps 9, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. In the case of an equal result primarily the better achieved time in ski race and secondarily the score of the first golf round is decisive. Distance measurement equipments are not permitted in World-Cup tournament rounds!!

GOLF is to be played on both courses, starting order depending on skiing results. After the ski race the field will be splitted into 2 parts. Field 1 (best skiing result -up) playing golf first day at course Kitzsteinhorn. Field 2 (skirace result 140 -up) playing first day at course Schmittenhöhe. On second golf day both fields will change the courses.

TEAMS with five players (or 4) are qualified in team competition. The time at skirace (without age factor) is applied. From the sum of each four (4) best results on all three competition days (Ski - Golf day 1 - Golf day 2) the Team World-Cup is calculated. Substitutes (may. one player per team) can be called up until at the latest 72 hours before the start of ski competition (Monday, 09th May 2011 – 10 a.m.) E-mail: skigolfwm2011@sbg.at
