
ENTRY RULES & REGULATIONS
ENTRY
is
open to golf and ski professionals & amateurs, who are members of accepted
golf clubs of National or International golf associations, with a handicap of
at least -18, or better. Participants can take part in individual or team
competitions. Golf-Competition is played by the rules of RA St. Andrews and
local course rules of Golf Club Zell am See-Kaprun.

The awards are given
according to the above categories, with a minimum number of five competitors of
three different nations. Competitors can take part in one group only.
SCORE
SKI (all classes) the
competitor’s time from the ski competition is multiplied by 4, which equals score 1 and will be added to the golf
scores. *Master classes time of the ski
competition is multiplied by 8, then multiplied by the year of birth (e.g. born
in 1955, time is multiplied by 0.55). Minimum calculation factor is 0.43 for
any participants born in 1943 or before.
Score 1 - Ski Competition time in seconds multiplied by
4 or 8*
Score 2 - Golf round 1
Score 3 - Golf round 2
If a competitor does not
finish the ski run, they will be given a second chance and will start again at
the end of the complete starting group.
If they do not finish the second ski run, they will be issued the same
time as the slowest participant in their ski race group in order to allow them
to remain in the competition. The 50
best ski results from 2009 are set as group 1. The start numbers are drawn by
lot. All professionals start in group 1.
The ski competition, race 1 is started in the order of group 1, all classes,
and juniors. Race 2, a synchronous
parallel course starts with the groups of participants in the women‘s and
Master 1 and II classes. The ski
competition is carried out according to the guidelines of the European Cup FIS
skiing association.
GOLF is to be played on both 18 hole courses. The starting
order is based on the competitor’s ski results. After the ski race the
participants will be split into 2 groups. Group 1 (best ski result) will play
golf at the Kitzsteinhorn course day one and group 2 will play at the
Schmittenhöhe course. Both groups will
switch courses on the second day.
TEAMS with 4 to 5 players are qualified in the team
competition. golf (handicap
-18) The actual ski race time
excluding the age calculation factor is used for the score. The sum of each
four (4) best results on all three competition days (Ski, Golf day 1 & Golf
day 2) is used to calculate the Team World Cup. Substitutes (one player per team)
must be called in by May 06. 2010 at 10 am, sent via e-mail to skigolfwm2010@sbg.at. Changes will not be permitted after this time.
In the event of a tie,
the better score on the second golf day will be judged. If the scores are still tied the better score
of golf round decides on the second day with score on hole-handicaps 9, 6, 5,
4, 3, 2, 1. In the case of an equal
result, the primary factor used to decide the tie is the time of the ski race
and secondarily the score of the first golf round.
Distance measurement equipments are not permitted in
World-Cup tournament rounds.
REGISTRATION is only accepted via the
web online form at www.skigolfwm.com. Individual registration
must include complete address, detailed information about handicap and local
golf course (via Fax). Team competition
registration must include complete address, detailed information about handicap
and local golf course for all team players (4 to 5). Please send registration
